On September 16th 2004, eleven Russian Casual Dining Entrepreneurs and two translators/facilitators arrived in Bartlesville Oklahoma for business & ethics training.

Since the collapse of Communism, small businesses are starting to thrive as their owners learn more about United States' business practices which have been honed by the last hundred & fifty years of progress & technology. This is creating a growing middle-class, which has been shown to create stability and opportunity.

Since 1996, over 3,500 Russians have had the benefit of seeing our Free-Market Democracy in action. Over 24 new Rotary Clubs have been founded in the Russian Federation as a result, plus untold amounts of practical information shared about Construction, Business Planning & Building, Ethics, Volunteerism, Community Involvement, Marketing, Food Distribution & other disciplines.

Bartlesville Daybreak and Noon Clubs joined in the effort to house, transport and entertain the delegation while they were here in Bartlesville for 3½ weeks. This was a wonderful chance to show foreign professionals the "real" United States, and equally show our citizens how much we share in goals & ideals with a foreign culture. Their only previous impression of us was in movies, TV and the European Media. The Bartlesville character and engaged Business Community is a perfect balance to that!
